Foreign Minister Cho Hyun and Wang Yi, Director of the Central Foreign Affairs Office of the Communist Party of China and Foreign Minister, held a Korea-China foreign ministers' meeting in Seoul and discussed cooperation on peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula. Minister Cho emphasized that the Korean government will make efforts to achieve denuclearization and peace on the Korean Peninsula, and that China should play a constructive role in the peace and development of the Korean Peninsula. Director Wang stated that China would cooperate for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula. This meeting reviewed the results of the previous Korea-China summit and focused on discussions to improve and strengthen bilateral relations in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic ties next year. Director Wang is scheduled to meet with President Yoon Suk-yeol during his visit to Korea and hold a meeting with National Security Office Director Kim Sung-han.
