The ruling and opposition parties clashed in the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee over the issue of housing supply in Yongsan Park. The People Power Party criticized that the maintenance of former President Roh Moo-hyun's tomb and President Lee Jae-myung's campaign pledge to create Yongsan Park were being overturned, arguing that arbitrarily reducing the park's green space was not for future generations. On the other hand, the Democratic Party emphasized that the amendment bill for the Yongsan Park Special Act focuses on the development of peripheral sites rather than the main body, and stressed that it is a discussion on some development for youth housing supply. However, Rep. Kim Eun-hye's request for translation approval was rejected with 7 votes in favor and 14 votes against.
