A Chinese female graduate student was murdered in Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The suspect is a Chinese man in his 30s who works as a lecturer at the university the victim attended. The suspect taught two undergraduate courses during the first semester and was scheduled to teach again in the second semester. Both the suspect and the victim are Chinese nationals and were known to be friendly. The victim had already secured employment in China and came to Korea for the last time to receive a completion certificate. Police are investigating the relationship between the suspect and the victim, as well as the motive for the crime.
