President Lee Jae-myung changed his schedule and went into emergency response after 9 Koreans went missing due to a large-scale flood in Nepal. The President presided over an emergency meeting on national damage at the Blue House on the afternoon of the 27th, and postponed the luncheon scheduled for the 28th for Democratic Party lawmakers. At least 160 people have died and 403 are missing in the Nepal floods, and 9 Koreans are currently out of contact. The government plans to dispatch a rapid response team consisting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, fire department, and police to Nepal to support the search and rescue of Korean nationals.
