As you all know, the timing of Pogacha's retirement is becoming a hot topic, so I looked into it.
In terms of Tour de France stage wins, Mark Cavendish is in first place with 35 wins, and Pogacha is in fifth place with 22 wins. I don't know if yesterday's win on the 6th is included.
He needs to win Paris-Roubaix before retiring, but I'm sure Pogacha has a desire to break Cavendish's record. It seems like the Tour de France documentary on Netflix also touched on that part.
Anyway, he needs 14 more wins to become the sole leader,,, I think he needs to win at least 5 times this year.
If so, it seems that he could reach the top spot alone in about 3 years including this year. (Of course, this is based on the premise that Pogacha's form will be maintained)... Naturally, retirement would be after 3 years, right? ㅎㅎ
In this sense, Pogacha, who conceded the win to Greg Van Avermaet, is truly great. He didn't forget to express his gratitude by helping his teammate win before his own ambition. That's amazing.
