A mother and son who suffered tens of millions of won in voice phishing damage at an apartment in Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, were found dead.
According to investigative authorities on the 22nd, a woman in her 50s, A, and her son in his 20s, B, were found dead at an apartment in Eumseong-gun on the morning of the 20th.
Police who responded to a report from family members saying "We couldn't contact the mother and sibling since the previous day" discovered the deceased.
A suicide note found at the scene reportedly contained the message "We have been suffering from voice phishing damage."
Police plan to conclude the case, viewing it as B being pessimistic about life and turning away from the world together with his mother after suffering 50 million won in voice phishing damage.
