Singer Park Seojin's Seoul Encore Concert Poster
The Seoul encore concert of singer Park Seojin, scheduled to take place on the 4th and 5th next month at the Handball Stadium in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, has been canceled due to the prolonged 'Jamsil Counting Center Blockade Protest'.
On the 22nd, Janggu's God Entertainment, Park Seojin's agency, stated, "We decided to cancel the performance as we judged it difficult to proceed with the scheduled concert."
The agency added, "We carefully considered various options including changing the venue and rescheduling the event. We sincerely apologize for causing disappointment and inconvenience to our fans who have been waiting and supporting us."
Park Seojin had started her nationwide tour from Seoul in December last year, continuing through Busan and Gwangju, with plans for an encore concert in Seoul.
However, the 'Jamsil Counting Center Blockade Protest' has continued since May 5th near the Handball Stadium following the insufficient ballot paper incident during the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections held on March 3rd.
This situation raised concerns about traffic control and operational issues. Previously, HYBE adjusted audience movement plans for its Weversecon event, while Nexon changed the venue of its MapleStory showcase to Ilsan Kintex.
The Seoul Park Music Festival held from the 20th to the 21st also moved its performance venues from the Handball Stadium and 88 Lawn to the 88 Lake Riverside Stage and Uri Bank Art Hall.
