A police superintendent from the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul was dismissed from his position after causing a traffic accident while driving under the influence of alcohol. On the night of the 20th, the superintendent caused an accident while drunk driving on the Nambu Ring Road. His blood alcohol concentration was found to be at a level that would result in license revocation. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency launched an investigation the day after the incident and dismissed the superintendent from his position. Police are currently investigating A superintendent on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving) and have taken him into custody without detention.
