The Korean government is aiming to revive the potential growth rate through a record-high budget (820.9 trillion won). Based on tax revenue secured through the semiconductor boom, it will focus on investing in three major mega projects and future growth drivers such as AI. In particular, support for young people will be significantly strengthened, with a policy of supporting all stages of life from education, employment, housing to marriage, childbirth, and child-rearing. Specific policies have been established, including easing the conditions for joining the Youth Future Savings Account and increasing contributions for young people working at local small and medium-sized enterprises. It is also making efforts to strengthen practical support, such as converting tax deductions related to marriage and childbirth into cash support, in order to solve the problem of low birth rate.
