The prosecution is investigating suspicions of mishandling in the 'Jang Yoon-gi case' and summoned former director Park Sung-joo of the National Investigation Headquarters as a suspect for questioning. The prosecution is focusing on investigating whether multiple crime investigation subjects related to Jang Yoon-gi were separated during the initial investigation process, and whether the initial response to stalking crimes led to the murder of a high school girl. In addition to former director Park, four other personnel from the National Police Agency's Criminal Investigation Division at the time are also under investigation on the same charges. The prosecution is expected to decide on whether to indict them soon. The National Investigation Headquarters (NIHQ) is also separately investigating suspicions of mishandling in the Jang Yoon-gi case and is expected to complete its investigation into four officials from the Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station at the time.
