Partai Demokrasi Bersama juga telah mengajukan revisi undang-undang prosedur pidana yang berpusat pada penghapusan hak penyelidikan tambahan untuk reformasi kejaksaan kepada Komite Hukum. Partai Kekuatan Rakyat memprotes komposisi anggota tunggal dari Partai Demokrasi Bersama dan sedang melakukan boikot, serta dengan tegas menentang penanganan rancangan undang-undang ini. Partai Demokrasi Bersama berencana untuk memproses rancangan undang-undang sebelum Konvensi Partai pada 17 Agustus, dan selain rancangan yang diajukan oleh Anggota Dewan Kim Yong-min, mereka juga akan mempertimbangkan revisi yang telah didiskusikan secara internal dalam komite kecil. Partai Kekuatan Rakyat terus mengkritik operasi Komite Hukum yang otoriter dan memprotesnya. Komite Hukum telah mengumumkan akan memulai proses komite kecil mulai tanggal 10.
The Democratic Party of Korea submitted a bill to amend the Criminal Procedure Act, focusing on abolishing the supplementary investigative power, to the Legislation and Judiciary Committee for prosecutorial reform. The People Power Party is boycotting in protest against the Democratic Party's unilateral composition of the committee and is strongly opposing the handling of this bill as well. The Democratic Party plans to process the bill before the full party convention on August 17th and intends to have the subcommittee review not only the bill introduced by lawmakers such as Yong-min Kim but also a separate amendment bill that has been internally discussed. The People Power Party continues to criticize the Democratic Party's unilateral operation of the standing committee and is continuing its protest. The Legislation and Judiciary Committee announced that it will start subcommittee proceedings from the 10th.
